My interest in photography started during my childhood in Toronto, when my father gave me my first Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera. In the past few years, my focus has been on night photography in urban, industrial and out-of-the-way settings. I have always been fascinated by the interplay of static and moving objects, and how meaning is conveyed by color as well as composition. I photograph at all times of the day, but am most drawn to the night scenes evoking tranquility, loneliness and isolation. The peaceful and secluded nature of the night draws me in. My goal has always been to capture this mood in my photographs
Having moved on from the Brownie film camera, I work primarily in high resolution digital format. I print my own work either as a Chromogenic or an Archival Pigment Ink Prints.
